Review of The Prince (2014) by Jonathan B — 31 May 2015
The dialogue was horrible. But, more than that, the lead actress overacted so much, it was like listening to a chalkboard being scratched.
It had a decent cast, but they looked awful. The hair and makeup person should go back to school.
The movie was supposed to take place in New Orleans, but outside of a few establishing shots, it was not. On top of that, in every bar, the music was poorly chosen AND for some odd reason, people were listening to techno in the middle of the day in New Orleans (dressed for a night out in sparkly mini dresses and high heels - the costumer needs to go back to school too). It's like whoever designed the movie had never even been to new orleans. Not one brass player, and not one person drinking a hurricane.
The lead character must've shot and killed 50 or 60 people but NOT ONCE did the cops show up.
But the kicker, the thing that pushed me over the edge:
When Bruce Willis went to grab his gun out of the desk drawer, the middle one, when he opened the drawer, it was COMPLETELY EMPTY EXCEPT FOR THE GUN! The top middle draw is a junk drawer. EVERYBODY knows that. The prop master should be sent back to school with the rest of them.
