Certainly a rote, by the numbers retired bad guy revenge flick. But much better to watch than John Wick, which got such high reviews. The hero her reliably runs out of ammo, reloads, gets shot, mnisses people, etc.
All the "realistic" touches people claim top like in John Wick, but done better here. Also our hero actually manages to exude the meanace the plot calls for, while Keanue Reeves completely fails at that.
