Gary cooper plays 1 role: gary cooper. this is him playing gary cooper but he is named lou gehrig. anyway, this is your typical hero film of the 40s. it gave america hope to beat the nazis. and btw, lou gehrif was the most UNLUCKY man who ever lived.
a great athlete who painfully dies from a horrible skeletal illness is not lucky. they named it after him!!! anyway, he is hero.
