Review of The Prestige (2006) by Allen V — 20 Dec 2013
Christopher Nolan performed a magic trick worth watching for. Full with old tricks up his sleeves, he was able to pull off a rabbit from his hat.
The pledge was too complex though, but the way Nolan builds tension each of the turns, he was able to pull off the prestige one after the another.
Before we indulge ourselves with our dreams, or take a journey to the stars, Nolan first took us to something magicians', or most of excellent filmmakers has done.
The world is simple, but once you add mystery, you can leave the audience to wonder.
