Have seen both versions so many times I've lost count. There's something about all that tension and innuendo that's so evocative.... Or maybe that's my weird crush on John Garfield talking.
... Anyway, I think both versions are required viewing. And I take back my innuendo comment for just one scene in the Jack & Jessica version where they sweep off the kitchen table. Just that once, seeing them DO what they were thinking was worth it.
