Review of The Postman Always Rings Twice (1946) by Matt G — 04 Sep 2011
This film is imperfect, but still very well done. The plot is very intriguing since it is filled with plotting murder, backstabbing, falling in love, forgiveness, and some unintentional comedy at certain points.
While this film pales in comparison to other film noir classics like The Big Sleep and The Maltese Falcon, this film still holds its ground well because I was never bored and I found myself absorbed in the troubles of such strange characters.
If you love murder mysteries, then see The Postman Always Rings Twice because it's a damn good one.
