Review of The Post (2017) by Susan F — 14 Jan 2018
Pretty good movie. My only issues were 1) even though I was alive at the time (7 years old), I didn't know many of the "players" and I felt like the movie just assumed I would know who everyone was - so that slowed me down in getting "into the movie.
" The second issue was Tom Hanks "accent." While perhaps that's the way the real dude spoke, I had a really hard time understanding what he was saying. He sounded like he was mumbling.
Unfortunately, I closed my eyes to focus more on what he was saying since the action of the movie was irrelevant. That made me nod off for a few minutes. Still it's an important movie especially considering the current state of affairs in DC.
It's importance is what brings the rating from the performances up to a 3-star.
