'The Post' is fine, but you're so busy identifying all of the character actors (many who only have a few lines) that the story is jumbled up. This is the definition of a movie that critics will be afraid to criticize because it's Streep and Hanks and Spielberg.

The sum of the parts are way greater than the whole. I love a good story about journalism, and this is definitely that. Hanks and Streep are fine but neither should be in Oscar consideration. I feel like this was more a look at me movie than it was a portrayal that the story deserved.

Daniel Ellsberg is a national hero and he's glossed over for the real heroes? It's backwards. And when a movie throws logic on it's head for the sake of building up the wrong people the writers miss the point.

'The Post' doesn't exist without Ellsberg and better movies with him as the focus have been made. Final Score: 5.9/10.
