Review of The Possession (2012) by Alyssa M — 26 Jan 2013
A fairly good entry into the Possession movie. The Jewish Dybbuk was a nice change from demonic or ghost possession. The acting was fairly good, Jay Brazeau was a charming historian, and Matisyahu made a great exorcist.
The special affects were a bit overdone, and bordered on humorous at times. The moments in the movie were creepier than scary, but not creepy enough to set it apart. A slightly lighter touch and slower pace could have benefited the atmosphere.
