Review of The Poseidon Adventure (1972) by Matthew C — 30 Jul 2010
Pretty typical disaster film, but the cast has fun with it. Gene Hackman makes for a commanding leader and shrill Shelly Winters hams it up with zeal. Some cool set work and stunts make it more watchable, but disaster films in general bore me a bit.
They all seem to hit all the same notes with little variation beyond actors.
