Polar Express is my favourite Christmas Spirit animation movie. The conductor played by Tom Hanks just looks like him, the facial features are almost too similar except for a prominent bald on the Conductor. The animation is spectacular, but the human characters are almost lifeless because they fail to emote. Hanks proves that he is good even with voice casting.
This film really does have a heart. It might not have the visual flourish of animation movies like Arthur Christmas, but its warming enough. This could be Zemeckis' best animation film till date. I liked his Beowulf( the only R- rated animation movie)and I have mixed feelings about his A Christmas Carol, so I would see it again.
