Despite some flaws, The Polar Express is a good Christmas movie for the family. The one large flaw is that so many scenes are built solely for the 3-D or 4-D screen. The film has that 3-D eye candy filler that is worthless when watching anytime other than its film release.
If this was only a 4-D theme park movie it would get an 100 all the way but this is meant to be more than that. It does fulfill the Christmas spirit part with some good stuff about Santa and the spirit of Christmas.
The visuals are stunning but like I said earlier, some aspects become worthless when not on the big screen.
