Review of The Polar Express (2004) by Bardia M — 15 Mar 2014
A charming story with an important moral for kids. I wish I could end the review without mentioning the movie's flaws but then it wouldn't be a true review, now would it? The weakest aspect of The Polar Express was the characterization.
Sure, there exists character development, but what good is that if we are not given much to relate and like the character. For the most part, the cast of characters was weak, which is a shame as the story had great potential.
The Polar Express has little to no rewatchability quality, when compared to other animated features. The music was magical and does, to some extent, help substitute the lack of characterization, and achieve the movie a 3/5 review.
