Review of The Pink Panther (1963) by Nisrin A — 03 Jul 2010
A rather slow beginning to the series, this of course was made as a stand alone film - with no intention for sequels - however the secondary character of the inspector proved so popular that the sequel was made, and released, just three months after the premiere of this one.
Sellers is very good, but the character would develop into a more slapstick creature in future features. Niven, the supposed star of the film, is charismatic as always.
