Review of The Piano Teacher (2001) by Adam E — 17 Feb 2009
Another oddity from Michael Haneke, The Piano Teacher is a creepy David Croenberg-esque portrait. Visually sophisticated, with some beautiful music and strong performances, the film gets very cloe to being ridiculous but just about avoids it and retains its credibility.
Odd but compelling.
