Review of The Piano (1993) by Suveera A — 05 Apr 2008
Beautifully shot and erotically haunting, The Piano is the intense soul of a passionate mute woman Ada exquisitely portrayed to perfection by the Academy Award-winning actress Holly Hunter. The sensually most erotic film I've seen because of the longing and desire in Ada's musical voice - just watch Hunter's soul-baring performance primarily through her expressive eyes and face expressions .
Hunter herself brilliantly played the music and her creation of a non-speaking woman is indeed beholden to watch. An ultimate chick flick women will most definitely enjoy. Anna Paquin was superb as well, becoming the youngest Academy Award winner in its history to date.
