Review of The Piano (1993) by Joe S — 14 Aug 2012
A phenomenal film, encapsulating everything that makes Jane Campion simultaneously one of our best, and one of our most under appreciated filmmakers. "The Piano" is not a costume drama. The look of the film, while sumptuous, is secondary to what the film is really about: the awakening of a soul.
