Review of The Piano (1993) by Orlok W — 05 Jul 2014
Probably one of the greatest movies of all time, among a long list of classics. It's a shame Jane Campion, despite winning Best Original Screenplay, never had the honor of being the first woman to take home the Best Director Oscar.
Then again, they snubbed an African-American in that same category -- John Singleton, who was twenty-three when he directed "Boyz N The Hood" in 1991.
