The Pianist tells the story of the acclaimed Jewish-Polish composer, Wladyslaw Szpilman & details his miraculous survival against all odds during World War II, also bringing back the terror of The Holocaust & is emotionally disturbing but at the same time very powerful & moving film.
Stunning directional effort by real Holocaust survivor Roman Polanski & exceptional performance by Adrien Brody that will go down in history as one of the most memorable ones. Superbly acted & dramatically moving, The Pianist is not an easy watch but you'll be a better person for having done so.
Some movies deserves to be seen, no matter how depressing or emotionally disturbing it is & The Pianist is definitely one of those films. Strongly Recommended.
