"The Pianist" is a dramatic, true story about late Polish pianist Wladyslaw Szpilman. Excellent acting, tense atmosphere, beautiful music, & magnificent directing by Roman Polanski makes this film one of the best of the 2000s! Won 3 Oscars, including Best Actor (Adrien Brody) & Best Director (Roman Polanski).
Nominated for 4 other Oscars, including Best Picture (didn't win). Wonderful & dramatically sad.
