Review of The Pianist (2002) by Farhana F — 22 Jul 2013
The direction was great in this movie, creating a sort of Rear Window feel to it. Adrien Brody was good, but not great, sort of like a 127 Hours type of part. As for the script, it had no true plot besides Adrien Brody running around aimlessly for a good hour and a half.
I respect this movie because it tackled a tricky topic WWII. I think the overall feel of this movie depicted the actual feeling of what it would have been like to live in these hard times.
