Review of The Pianist (2002) by Mariel H — 20 Jul 2011
Among the best Holocaust films, "The Pianist" is a great tale of prospering and survival. Brody does an excellent job portraying Szpilman. On top of that, the movie is just beautifully done and truly captures the time period.
I just felt like the story was a little dry and drawn out. I'm sure that is what Szpilman felt like trying to keep himself occupied until the war was over. However, some scenes in this movie were incredibly powerful and just brilliant in every way!
