Review of The Pianist (2002) by Prabhat R — 23 Aug 2011
The movie not only revisits the horrors of an era marked by merciless and unwarranted massacres, it also epitomizes the resilience, the human ability and capability to stand the test of time and all that is wrong with this world.
An exceptional mix of pain and hope, embodied wholly by a revelation of a performance from Adrien Brody. However, to me, it's Mr Polanski who's the real artist behind this never-to-be-forgotten portrait of World War 2.
My favorite movie of all time.
