Review of The Physician (2013) by Andrew C — 02 Jan 2014
This is for children with parental guidance on content. Worth reminding the kids that the first appendecomy was done in 1735 by a French surgeon at St. Georges in London, and most certainly not in the 11th century.
Also, amd more importantly, it's worth making clear that the tensions between Muslims, Christians, and Jews were nothing like as those portrayed. Also, Avicenna was a philosopher first and medical man second.
So, prep the kids, and go see a fun film. If you aren't takiing the kids, don't bother: this is rubbish.
