This English speaking film directed by Philipp Stolzl is extremely well shot and made, the locales for the shoot are nothing but magnificent. The acting on the whole is good and what is most interesting here is the films unbiased devout and interest to the development of medical science during the period. It neglects the battle sequences to show more screen time to the Physician's story even when it seemed to have ample budget. Although, the Christian superstitions and injustice towards common sense was shown with less care and intent which disappoints me.
