Review of The Physician (2013) by Aednat K — 15 Nov 2015
Just such a rare film. So well done that even after two hours and thirty four minutes, as the credits role you're wanting more. The cast is superlative and nary a performance is wanting, from the lead to the supporting cast one and all.
Here is a movie so well done it rivals the classic epics: Lord of the Rings, Ben Hur, Gladiator, The Last Samurai, and Lawrence of Arabia. This is a film that is literary in nature, surpassing most for it, for its breadth and depth of tale and character alike is mesmerizing.
Rob Cole desires to be a physician, and as he explores landscapes political, geographic, and cerebral the audience finds itself on a multi-faceted trip sure to engage and enhance one's sensibilities.
This goes in my top ten list of all time films right up there with Shawshank Redemption, Matrix, Lord of the Rings, The Last Samurai, and Chronicles of Narnia.
