Review of The Philadelphia Story (1940) by Liz M — 15 Mar 2008
I think I was a little jaded for seeing "High Society" first, and loving it, but this movie felt long and drawn out. Katherine Hepburn didn't impress me as the beautiful goddess they kept referring to her as.
Cary Grant was almost boring in his portrayal as C. K. Dexter Haven, which is hard for me to write since Cary Grant is one of my all-time favorites. James Stewart was the saving grace for this movie. Quite comical as a drunk.
