Review of The Philadelphia Story (1940) by Chris S — 21 Jun 2008
The film's ending is hurriedly done in an awful way and quite disappointing, and the script is terrible most of the time. Hepburn and Stewart's characters are given much screentime together with the formulaic kiss and all and I was rooting for them to be the couple but in the end the filmmakers suddenly decide out of nowhere that Tracy should end up back again with her ex-husband for some reason.
