Review of The Philadelphia Story (1940) by Eric O — 28 Oct 2011
"can you use a typewriter?" "no thanks, I have one at home." james stewart steals this one for me - can't really explain why though, he's not too prominent and it's probably not even his best role.
also oddly enough I really liked the dinah lord character (virginia weidler). surprising amounts of drunken fun. great for it's realistic characters, but otherwise pretty run-of-the-mill for '40.
