My favorite romantic comedy of all time and my tenth favorite movie overall. A great tale of a woman struggling to reclaim her humanity and empathy. Katharine Hepburn gives an incendiary performance as Tracy Lord and her chemistry with Jimmy Stewart as Macaulay Connor is beautifully heartfelt and passionate.

The words that Stewart speaks to Hepburn during their romantic exchange are so poetic and never cease to take my breath away. As he leads her to rediscover her regard for human frailty, I gradually grow to fall in love with her just as Stewart does.
