I'm not sure why there's so much hate for this movie. The casting is great and the costume design is great, so many things are great. I can see where many might prefer the broadway version,especially if that's what they saw first.
However, not everyone will travel all the way to New York to see it, or can afford to. In my opinion, it's a wonderful adaption with exceptional talent onscreen.
