Review of The Phantom of the Opera (2004) by Hannah D — 23 Oct 2011
I am sure this only gets poor reviews from the critics because they are comparing it with the musical. I personally had never seen it before, so had nothing to judge it against. All I can say is that I absolutely loved everything about it.
The music is quite simply divine, and visually the film is stunning. The critics say that there is a lack of story, but I was mainly interested in the music, and there is plenty of that. I really want to own the soundtrack now!
