Review of The Phantom of the Opera (2004) by R.e. E — 11 May 2012
Frustratingly bad, could have been as good or better than the stage show. Overly fussy at time, too emotional and hysterical; direction and editing are below excellent, but if you like the show, the music and the lavish spectacle of costumes you may enjoy it.
I wanted to like this film, my reaction did not permit me to. Boring acting, and no chemistry between any of the cast.
