Review of The Phantom of the Opera (2004) by Colleen J — 10 Jul 2013
I love this movie and I don't care what anyone says. It is romantic, dark, some light but moody and I prefer it over the Broadway show because here you get 'opera' music that isn't shrill at any point, and with it being a movie, there is more theatrical aspects than the Broadway musical.
I've watched both, compared the music and because I love movies, I prefer Gerard Butler as the Phantom. The other guys just don't have that haunting feeling, the feeling you want to jump into the scene and love him.
They are colder while this Phantom is blazing hot either by candlelight or the fire from Don Juan.
