Review of The Phantom of the Opera (2004) by Leona D — 15 Aug 2014
Finally saw this adaptation of Phantom of the Opera and I have to say is I was not impressed. I just didn't fell any of the performances from the film and didn't really care for any of the characters especially from the phantom.
I still have not seen the play but I know that it's way better than this film. I thought the film had a nice opening sequence but I really felt it lacked a gothic tone especially when it came to the scenes that played the 2 famous songs Phantom of the Opera and Music of the Night.
I was also not impressed of what the phantom looked like. The face just din't look too horrifying enough. This could of been an oscar worthy movie but it failed.
