Review of The Phantom of the Opera (1925) by Crystal L — 16 Aug 2006
I can't imagine adding anything of significance about this film that hasn't been said about 50,000 times before since 1925. I'll just say it is visually one of the best horror films my eyes have ever feasted upon, and Lon Chaney IS the Phantom.
Avoid the Schumacher travesty and witness this classic for yourself. It pisses all over any version that has come after it, and then kicks those version in the balls and steals their women too boot. Dig that red cape!
