Review of The Phantom of the Opera (1925) by Gerry N — 14 Jun 2007
This is the first adaptation of Gaston Leroux's famous horror novel, and the one which most closely follows the plot of the book (apparantly there was a now lost alternate ending which would have made it even closer).
A black and white, silent film, it is dominated by Lon Chaney Sr. who plays Erik, the title character.
