Review of The Phantom of the Opera (1925) by Tom G — 02 Apr 2008
For when it was made this film has amazing pace and editing, and Chaney Phantom is actually pretty scary and creepy, the make up must have hurt like hell to wear.
The use of colour tints in the version I saw was very good too as was the 'technicolour' ball scene, all round a very impressive film in all respects, you can see why the story keeps going.
