Review of The Phantom of the Opera (1925) by Brett H — 12 Feb 2013
Having not been fully familiar of the plot, I was pretty shocked to see how dark the film content was and how unlikeable the Phantom actually is. The ending gets a little ridiculous when the phantom basically becomes a mastermind assassin, but the make-up and performance of Lon Chaney are so iconic, it has to be seen at least once.
