Review of The Phantom of the Opera (1925) by Brandon S — 07 Oct 2010
One of the great man with a thousand faces masterpieces that was made in 1925 and still looks amazing today with it's massive sets and huge cast. Classic story of the phantom that lives in the torture chambers below an opera house in Paris and fancies the lead of a musicals understudy and will stop at nothing until she is his.
Chaney's makeup is amazing and some versions of the film are colorized during a scence where there is a masquarade going on which showcases Chaney's red death outfit that is equally stunning.
