Review of The Phantom of the Opera (1925) by Bob V — 20 Nov 2010
"If I am the phantom, it is because man's hatred has made me so".
The famous story of a deformed and outcasted man known as the Phantom, who watched over a woman whom he fell madly in love with.
Lon Chaney's performance is wonderful. The face which he had constructed for the character is a face represented as a legendary and iconic picture of cinema history, always reminding us of the wonders and innovative moments of the silent era.
