Review of The Perfect Weapon (1991) by Darren S — 04 Aug 2007
The amazing martial arts sequences cheographed by Ed Parker before his passing (he died shortly before film's release; film is dedicated to him) and some intentional humor make this worthwhile despite the wooden story and forced on , hokey flashbacks.
Still, I became a huge Jeff Speakman fan after this. Sadly, to my knowledge this cultcable classic isn't on DVD yet- not even a bare-bones, no extras release not even in the bottomless Wal-Mart pit What is Paramount waiting for? Blu-Ray? Finding lost Marsika Hagitay footage? Who knows? My ol' VHS tape isn't going to around forever.
