Review of The Perfect Storm (2000) by Shane D — 13 Jul 2013
A sentimental favourite, I've watched it regularly since its release and it still bodes well for me. I like Clooney despite the fact that he basically resigns his entire crew to their deaths and a youthful Wahlberg is equal parts cheese and bravado.
Its probably a bit of a boys film, lots of back slapping, lots of manly manliness, lots of "the lady waiting by the telephone" but it has a pretty thrilling closing act and I will probably watch it again next year some time.
Go figure.
