Review of The Perfect Guy (2015) by Pepper B — 14 Sep 2015
On a shallow note I like that they didn't make the white cop a bumbling idiot or bigot. I love the fact that truly every character could have been any color and the movie would have worked. Their is a tendency in Hollywood to make movies that have a majority of black actors to have to be "urbanized" or stereotypical in some ways. This movie IMO was above that.
Great acting. Strong writing. Relatable script to most anyone in the dating scene.
And I think it serves as a great reminder that you do not know someone until you see how they react when they are mad. If you and "boo" have never fought or you havent seen him upset or provoked by something than you still do not truly know that person.
