Review of The People vs. Larry Flynt (1996) by Peter P — 16 Jun 2010
Ok, so I am giving this movie 3 stars cause it is interesting, but mainly cause of the great acting of Edward Norton and Woody Harrelson, and although people seem to think Courtney Love was great, I am pretty sure she was being herself.
The story itself is actually really interesting, not from the angle of a dirty mens magazine, but from the freedom of speech aspect which was a passion of Larry Flynts life. Is what he does bad, sure, heck he agrees with that, but should he have the right to do it, yeah, if you believe in the American laws that is.
So I can't actually recommend The People Vs. Larry Flynt cause of all the nudity and language and such, but if you took all that out I could, I wonder if that would bother Larry or put a smile on his face, either way, he would probably be happy to cause a controversy in it.
So there you go Larry.
