Review of The Pelican Brief (1993) by Joe B — 22 Jan 2008
I'm sort of on the fence on all these Grisham movies. Most of them have a solid first 2/3 and then go to pot in the last section. Roberts and Washington are a nice match and do good work (it's nice to see Denzel playing Denzel before he always played Denzel) but the story is a bit convoluted and tedious.
Pakula knows how to film a conspiracy movie though!
