Two politicians are killed and so law student Julia Roberts spends one evening in a library and uncovers a plot that involves absolutely everyone including the President (as you do). She's then chased all over Washington and seemingly cannot be killed - not even by the same assassin that killed the politicians.
It's all very silly and a waste of time.
