Review of The Pelican Brief (1993) by Andy P — 28 Jan 2013
Full of political intrigue, unrest over corruption reaching the Oval Office -- but enough about the Obama Administration; I enjoyed this movie! Of all the Grisham books-turned-movie, this has to be my favorite and could watch it over and over.
A very real and complicated storyline of seedy lawyers and money -- and corruption of govt officials for political gain. And they have blood on their hands.
The student who does a little research (pre-internet) finds a connection between two assassinated Supreme Court justices and a president's biggest campaign contributor. She connects with an honorable journalist (I know, an oxymoron) and they find an end to the story.
Great performances. Great story. Just enough real-life action to keep me going. Hands down the best of Grisham (until someone does The Testament).
