Review of The Peanuts Movie (2015) by Charlie P — 05 Dec 2015
If you grew up loving The Peanuts characters, this movie is for you. The plot consist of the disadvantageous Charlie Brown trying to put his past embarrassments behind him in order to Impress the " Little Red Haired Girl" the new girl on the block.
As you can probably guess Charlie Brown suffers multiple inopportune scenarios keeping him from his goal. This movie is already on my list as one of the best movies of 2015, the new child voice actors are perfectly cast and are great successors to the previous cast, the archival footage of the late Bill Melendez as Snoopy and Woodstock are a nice touch to the film, and the story and visuals are modern without straying to far from the original cartoon.
Speaking of visuals this is the prettiest films I've seen in a long time. The CGI is styled to resemble Schulz's crude line style and perspectives, however the glowing pastel color pallet in this film allows the characters and scenery to pop like the never have before.
This is fantastic family fun entertainment everybody will enjoy. I can't wait till it comes out on DVD. 5/5 stars.
