Review of The Peanuts Movie (2015) by Joy E — 11 Dec 2018
The Peanuts Movie (2015), is one of my favorite movies still to this day. All the characters, such as Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy, Sally, Snoopy, Shroeder, and others, were portrayed perfectly in the movie, as they were in the comics.
They found an interesting way to show the life of Snoopy and Woodstock which captured their personalities, along with the main story of Charlie Brown and his friends. The story of Snoopy and the Red Baron, a classic, was shown in an extraordinary way.
From creating a divide from the main story to the life of Snoopy through a love story written by no other then him, still shows the love of Lucy to Shroeder and Charlie Brown and the little-redhaired girl, Heather.
As people say that the innocent way of Charlie Brown from the comics into the movie was destroyed, I can strongly disagree. The story of Charlie Brown and all the characters such as Linus, Sally, and Lucy were still in the story in respected parts that were relevant in the timeline.
Like most children of this generation, they did not have the chance to see all the Peanuts comics growing up. This movie gives people of that age a chance to enjoy the era of The Peanuts. As a child of the recent generation, I have grown up loving Charlie Brown, and all the Peanut characters, despite being able to see all the comics.
Seeing an old classic being put out into the big screen is an inventive and creative way to show the long living story of Charlie Brown.
